Updates in v2.83 - Jan 2010

If no Custom Fields have been entered they can no longer be selected to be shown (Configure/Item Fields). This was causing a rendering problem on the Item Details screen.

Added option to automatically schedule checks for updates to iMagic Inventory (Configure/Web Updates). This should allow users to get more out of their 1 year of free updates after purchase. - Many thanks to Jon W for this suggestion.

Added new Commission Tracking feature. In addition to the current tracking of which users have sold which items you can now also assign a commission percentage and create a report to show the commission earned on the sale of items. Select Configure/User Access and add or edit a user to enable this feature.

Fixed bug where if the first report selected after the application was launched was cancelled it would error. - Many thanks to Jon W for this suggestion.

Added the ability to directly change the stock level on the Total Stock screen (show when editing an Item). This should make it easier to manage stock when many Locations are used. - Many thanks to Jon W for this suggestion.

Added option to change the Item Name on an invoice (Configure/Preferences). This is helpful when making custom orders or when you don't want to list every combination in stock. Note that changing the name on the invoice does not effect the item itself, only the copy on the invoice. - Many thanks to Campbell for this suggestion.

Fixed bug when using Item Tracking and no Actions have been set. To add an Item Track to an item you must first define the Actions that can be performed, ie Checked In, Checked Out etc. (Configure/Item Tracking Options)

Adding critical error when the folder where the database file (db.mdb) is being used does not have Write permissions for the current user. Without Write permissions the error "Operation must use an updateable query." will be displayed. - Many thanks to Jon W for this suggestion.

File/Print option now prints current visible grid as a report rather than a screen. This should improve the print quality.

Added "Duplicate Item" function, where an existing item can be copied rather than re-entered. This should save time entering in new items when the details are very similar, such as with clothing sizes etc.

Fixed bug where an incorrect value was entered into the database when cancelling adding an item. -1 IDs were entered into the ItemLocation table when adding a new item and Cancel was pressed.

Fixed Item Tracking bug when adding a Unique Code that is empty.

Add the ability to include Item Custom Fields into the custom invoice.

Default changed on new installs so the Secondary Tax is not enabled.
