To define a new assembly, create it as an inventory item in View > Inventory first — this is the “finished product” that will appear on invoices. Producing a Batch
When you’re ready to build a batch of the assembled product, open the assembly in View > Assemblies and record the production run. Enter how many finished units you’re producing. iMagic Inventory will deduct the required components from stock and add the finished units to the assembled product’s inventory.

- Go to View > Assemblies and select your new finished product.
- Add each component, specifying the quantity of that component needed per finished unit.
- Save the assembly definition.
- When you’re ready to build, open the assembly in View > Assemblies and click to record a production run. Enter the quantity of finished units being produced.
